Sheriff's office issues warrant for man who allegedly beat son
Nov. 20, 2011
CHILLICOTHE --A warrant has been issued for a man after one of his children arrived late to school allegedly with a bloody nose and a handprint on his face Thursday.
The 5-year-old told Children Services his dad got mad about an alarm sounding, picked him up and threw the boy on the ground, which caused him to hit his nose, according to a Ross County Sheriff's Office report. Afterward, he reported his dad slapped him.
The court approved the child and his two siblings, one of which was at school with him, to be removed from the home, but the father and one of the children were not at the Yellowbud home.
At the home, the sheriff's office reports windows were broken and covered by blankets and plastic. The Ross County Dog Warden also responded to the home and took two dogs alleged to be in "poor condition."
A warrant has been issued for the father on three first-degree misdemeanor charges: child endangering, domestic violence and assault.
