Dad attempts to kidnap newborn baby from hospital, assaults nurse (Westford, Massachusetts)
Just wanted quality time with the newborn baby? Uh, don't think so. Once again, we see that dads like ANTHONY DEANTONIS just want possession of "their" babies out of a need to terrorize, punish, and control others.

Concord — A Westford man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly attempting to kidnap his girlfriend’s baby from Emerson Hospital’s Birthing Center.
Concord Police charged Anthony Deantonis, 33, of Westford with kidnapping, reckless endangerment to a child, assault and battery, larceny form a building, disorderly conduct and giving a false name to a police officer.
Deantonis is the biological father of the baby, according to Concord Police Lt. Tom Mulcahy.
“A well-trained and quick-thinking team in the Birthing Center immediately implemented appropriate hospital procedures on the locked unit and kept the baby secure until hospital security and the Concord Police Department arrived,” wrote an Emerson Hospital spokesperson in an email statement. “All patients, staff and visitors are completely safe and the unit is fully operational.”
According to police, a nurse allegedly caught Deantonis breaking into an office in the Birthing Center on Nov. 9.
“When she confronted him, he scooped up the baby and ran through the door,” Mulcahy said.
The nurse tried to block the door jamb, but Deantonis allegedly dropped his shoulder and ran into the nurse, knocking her to the ground, Mulcahy said.
The nurse called security and activated “Code Pink,” a common hospital code for attempted child abduction. Security officers were able to detain Deantonis in the maternity ward until officers responded,” Mulcahy said.
The baby was given to a nurse and returned to its mother.
“The mother and child were safe,” he said. No harm came to either of them.”
