A Havelock man is behind bars after lawmen say he held a knife to his 11 year old child's throat.

Zenas Aaron, 34, is in the Craven County jail, charged with assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse, kidnapping, assault on a female and drug possession.
The New Bern Sun Journal says Aaron was arrested for holding a large kitchen knife to the neck of his son, and that he also threatened to kill a second victim.

Havelock officials say the case is still under investigation.
