Seems this little boy was in the care of dad JAMES GARCIA and his charming gal pal when he was killed. So what happened to the little boy's mother? Doesn't even occur to the reporter to raise the question of where the mother was, and why this little boy was in the care of these screwballs. Did Daddy have custody?

Bond is set for a Magoffin County couple accused of killing a child.

James Garcia and Cindee Collins are charged with manslaughter first degree for the death Garcia's four year old son last year.

A Magoffin County grand jury indicted them last week. They were arrested on Friday.

Wednesday, the judge set their bond at $250,000 full cash.

Four year old Cameron Bryce Mullins died two days before Christmas last year.

A few days before, the Salyersville boy was flown from a local hospital to Cabell-Huntington hospital where he later died.

The Magoffin County deputy coroner says the autopsy report shows the child died from an assault.

"Head trauma due to blunt force injuries to the cranium, which is the head, the trunk of the body, and other extremities as well," said Brian Parker.

Investigators say the child's father, 42 year old James Garcia, and his girlfriend, 23 year old Cindee Collins, are responsible for the boy's death.

The four year old was with allegedly in their care at the time of the injuries.

"It's been an eleven month investigation by the Kentucky State Police. From that investigation, there have been indictments handed down from the Magoffin County grand jury. It's an ongoing investigation so not a lot more information can be released at this time," said Detective Jason Dials.

The deputy coroner says the boy had other injuries besides the fatal head injury.

"I'm not going to go into great detail, but there was a vast amount of bruising and different wounds as well," said Parker.

James Garcia turned down WYMT's request for an interview saying he wants to talk to their attorneys first.

The couple is scheduled to be arraigned on November 17th.
