Father, daughter hurt in crash following Amber alert
Father in custody after child was taken from her mother’s home early this morning.

Police say the girl's father, Mario Rodrigues, 35, of Toronto, is now in custody.

A four-year-old girl and her father have been taken to hospital after a rollover that ended a province-wide search for the child early Monday.
The suspect vehicle was located after Ontario Provincial Police spotted a van travelling in the Bancroft area.
After several attempts to stop it, the van rounded a curve and rolled over, according to preliminary information from the provincial Special Investigations Unit.
The SIU is now investigating the crash.
Police said the girl was trapped in the van, and was airlifted to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Mario Rodrigues was taken into police custody and also taken to hospital, York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden said.
An Amber alert had been issued this morning after police in York Region said the girl was taken from her mother’s home in Aurora around 4:20 a.m.
Police were seeking Rodrigues, of Toronto, who was reportedly seen driving away from the house in a silver Toyota minivan.
The SIU is a civilian agency that investigates incidents involving police that result in death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.

On Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at approximately 3:43 PM, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of W 9th St for a custody dispute involving a 9-month-old female. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the child’s mother, a 19-year-old Antioch resident.
The child’s mother reported that during an argument, her estranged husband, a 20-year-old resident of Waterford, took their 9-month-old child and fled in a vehicle that did not have a car seat, while also driving recklessly. She reported that she continued to argue with the father via cell phone at which point he made threats to kill himself and the child.
The child and her father were eventually located at an apartment in Waterford. The child was not harmed and was returned to her mother. The child’s father was arrested for criminal threats and an unrelated felony warrant from Sacrament County.

Miracle Hardin is described as 3 feet 2 inches tall, 32 pounds, with light brown curly hair and brown eyes. She is believed to be with her father, 22-year-old Justin Caldwell, who has legal custody of the child after she was removed from her mother's care.
Davie police are concerned for the child's safety as Caldwell does have a criminal history. "I had no idea that there was any problem with him," said Harriett Fiering.
Fiering lives next to Caldwell's last known address and never saw Hardin. According to police, Caldwell's girlfriend currently lives there. "I didn't even know she was living next door, 'cause the girl who rents out that unit has two children," said Fiering. "I was used to seeing them but I never saw ... I didn't even know he had a child."
Caldwell was previously living at a Davie apartment with his girlfriend at the time but has not been seen or heard from since Sunday. "We have been unable to contact the father to insure the welfare of the child," said Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle, "but Family Services received a call concerning the welfare of the child, and that's what prompted us to go out initially, and we want to make sure the child is OK."
Adding more difficulty to the situation, Caldwell does not own a vehicle, so authorities were unable to send out an Amber Alert for Hardin. "He doesn't have a car, so we need the public's assistance," said Engle. "Someone has seen this man with this child out there, and we just want to make sure the child is OK."
Officials do not believe Caldwell will hurt Hardin but are still searching for him.
The Florida Department of Children and Families are also investigating, along with Davie Police.

Mom arrested for "kidnapping" own child; dad with child abuse allegations--including protection order from CURRENT wife--gets custody (Hillsdale, Michigan)
So. Dad's word trumps the word of two women. What else is new in the American courts....
Wife #1 "abducted" their son because of abuse concerns involving his father. CPS even raised concerns. There are unspecified court reports. All hand waived away by an indifferent court.
Wife #2 sought a protection order. You don't get those unless there has been physical violence or a credible threat thereof. You don't get them because you and your spouse are having "trying times"-that's just dad's attempt to totally minimize and avoid responsibility for his own actions. Wife #2 didn't renew. Bad sign. Research is showing that when women don't renew it's not because the threat has gone away. It's because they can't without further jeopardizing their own safety.
AND NOW THIS ABUSER HAS CHILD CUSTODY.

HILLSDALE — After a court hearing on Monday afternoon, the father of a boy kidnapped by his mother now retains custody of his son.
Nicole Ruffin disappeared with her son, Laredo, after Judge Mike Smith granted interim custody to Brandon Ruffin, Laredo’s biological father and Nicole’s ex-husband, on Aug. 31. The court proceedings were punctuated by reports from Child Protective Services questioning the child’s safety.
After her disappearance, a felony warrant issued for Nicole’s arrest on a charge of parental kidnapping. Michigan State Police tracked and exhausted several leads since Sept. 1, locating and arresting her at a Spring Arbor convenience store on Monday. Laredo was remanded into police custody at the same time.
“There are a lot of concerns,” Karlye Horton, Nicole’s attorney, said at the civil hearing on Monday. Nicole, having been lodged at the Hillsdale County Jail only hours before, was not present for the proceedings.
Horton questioned Brandon’s suitability as Laredo’s custodian, citing several court reports about the child’s safety around Brandon. One of those reports included a personal protection order his current wife, Hannah, filed against Brandon earlier this year.
That record claims that Brandon laid hands on Hannah, though Brandon denies those claims, saying that he and his wife had “trying times” prior to the PPO’s expiration in July. Hannah and Brandon remain together today.
Horton also brought before Smith the claim that Brandon hadn’t seen Laredo more than a few times since Brandon and Nicole were divorced in 2012. Again, Brandon refuted the legitimacy of that argument, saying that he was never served the proper divorce papers or custody notifications.
“I saw my son on a regular basis,” Brandon said. He claims that after the divorce, his attempts to contact Nicole for scheduling were chronically ignored.
Hannah and other members of Brandon’s family and friends were present in the courtroom, as were members of Nicole’s family, both supporting their respective sides.
“Brandon has been dishonest about his position in the court,” Horton said.
Smith continued Brandon’s interim custody, an order which went into effect Monday and runs through an evidentiary hearing scheduled for Oct. 23. A more solid custody ruling is expected to be imposed on that date.
Horton declined to speak on behalf of her client following the hearing.
“I am a loving dad,” Brandon said after the conference. “I’m gonna keep fighting for custody of my son until the good Lord says I can’t anymore. It’s a happy day."

The Oklahoma City Police Department says a missing 2-year-old has been found in safe condition.
According to police, a 2-year-old boy was allegedly taken by his father Travis Lester, who does not have parental rights, Thursday at a metro Walmart. An Amber Alert was issued for the missing child at around 2:30 p.m. Friday. Just after 4 p.m. Friday, Lester and the child were found at a Motel 6 in Midwest City. Lester was then taken into custody.
The Oklahoma City Police Department says the child was taken around 4 p.m. Thursday by Lester from the Walmart near I-240 and Sante Fe. Police say Lester was armed with a pistol and made threats to harm the child.
Lester allegedly told the child's mother to withdraw money for him so she could buy him a shotgun. The boy's mother then went to the bathroom and Lester took off with boy. Police were then called to the business.
The victim told police Lester had threatened and abused her in the past. She also told police Lester's parental rights had been terminated and that Lester had been attempting to intimidate her into buying the gun for him.
Police investigating the incident observed bruises on the victim. Lester was convicted of second-degree burglary in 2010. In 2006, he was convicted of domestic assault and battery.
Lester will be booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

WATE 6 On Your Side Staff Published: July 9, 2015, 3:15 pm KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knoxville Police Department said additional charges are likely after a man assaulted his girlfriend and then later disappeared with the the couple’s 3-week-old baby.
Bunmi Paul Adeoye, Jr., 27, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to go armed and domestic assault. Police said he had warrants on file for his arrest in Michigan and Illinois.
Police said Adeoye arrived in Knoxville with his girl at 12:24 p.m. Thursday. They said they arrived at the Greyhound bus station, located on Magnolia, to partially move-in with a relative.
Adeoye’s girlfriend told officers that he became agitated and assaulted her. She drove her boyfriend to the bus station so he could get a bus back to Ohio. According to her, he exited the vehicle with their 3-week-old baby and disappeared. Officers said they located Adeoye and the child at a loading dock of a business on Morgan Street near Depot. They said he was confused and never threatened to harm the child or officers. The child was returned, unharmed to his mother. When police took Adeoye into custody, they found a loaded gun in his pocket.

Dad in "custody dispute" takes 4-month-old baby hostage in police standoff (Denver, Colorodo)
I presume that UNNAMED DAD was never married to the mother--and yet a criminal with "several outstanding felony warrants" was still allowed to wage a "custody dispute" with the mother of a 6-month-old infant? Even under freaking Sharia, mothers are allowed to be caretakers of their babies.
This is fathers rights in action, folks. A criminal--allegedly armed with knives--gets to terrorize his ex-girlfriends by threatening to take an young infants away from her. He even brings in the police and screws up traffic as part of his massive Daddy Drama hostage situation.
Fathers, especially never married fathers, should NOT be allowed to strip mothers of their babies without SOLID evidence of abuse/neglect. Criminal fathers should have their rights cut automatically. Enough of feeding the male entitlement of these little sh**s.

A suspect is in custody after a four-hour standoff Tuesday night at an apartment on the 3200 block of Osage Street.
Police said the incident began about 4:45 p.m., with a report of a custody dispute over a 6-month-old baby. At first, the father refused to give up the child. After about two hours, however, the baby was turned over to authorities.
However, the father, who police said is wanted on several outstanding felony warrants, refused to leave the apartment.
Police do not believe the man had a gun, but they do think he may have had knives.
The standoff ended shortly before 9 p.m., when police announced the suspect was in custody.
Numerous police were on the scene.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said the off ramps from Interstate 25 to Osage were closed because of police activity.
This story will be updated when more information becomes available.

Preliminary results of a child welfare investigation have led officials to believe that the father of a 3-year-old girl found wandering the streets alone near a suburban forest preserve earlier this week not only left her there intentionally but left her in a trash can, authorities said Thursday.
“Initially, our investigation has shown that the father left the child in a garbage can and drove away,” said Andrew Flach, spokesman for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
As DCFS officials continue to investigate the father regarding allegations of neglect, Cook County authorities also moved forward on a criminal investigation, issuing an arrest warrant Thursday for the girl’s father, Faiz Ikramulla. Ikramulla, 35, was named in a $300,000 arrest warrant for aggravated kidnapping, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Passers-by found the little girl, who was crying and waving her hands, wandering near Milwaukee Avenue and Palatine Road in Prospect Heights around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan took Ikramulla into custody Wednesday after officials there learned that he was wanted in Illinois.
“I don’t know whether he was fleeing or not,” said Cook County sheriff’s spokeswoman Cara Smith. “It appears so, from where he ended up.”
Authorities said they believe the girl had been alone for a few hours before being found.
The sheriff’s office launched a criminal investigation into the girl’s parents, but authorities said they determined the mother had been in the process of filing missing person’s reports for both the girl and the father with Round Lake police when the girl was found.
The mother, who is cooperating with authorities, is no longer a suspect in the investigation, Smith said.
When the little girl was found, she was able to tell police her first name, but she did not know her last name or her parents’ names. She also told police that her father left her alone in the forest preserve, Smith said. DCFS has placed the girl in the care of relatives.
The father is being held at Van Buren County Jail in Michigan.

Of course the media doesn't even bother to ask why a violent father who stabbed the mother's new boyfriend would have been granted custody of an infant, now just 1-year of age.
Mother is so beaten down by the system that she is swearing not to call the police, if only the kidnapper daddy will call her and let her know the baby is okay.

The child weighs 26 pounds and was wearing a brown and green onesie with black and white Nike shoes. Santiago-Enriquez is 5-foot-8 and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black sweater, and gray and black Nike shoes.
Authorities said the man is to be considered armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution. He may be traveling to known contacts in Mexico or the state of Washington, authorities said.
Anyone with information as to their whereabouts was asked to dial 911 to report possible sightings or the Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division at (310) 726-7700.

Dad with shared custody kidnaps two sons (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Not too many years ago, fathers rights activists started campaigning with this line that if only fathers were granted joint custody, then all these awful things wouldn't happen anymore. We just need to make those selfish gatekeeping mothers share!!! So they kept telling us.
So here we go. It's 2015. It's almost impossible for moms to get sole custody anymore. Mothers have been brainwashed that they better "encourage" the father's participation. This mom even made sure that the boys had telephone contact with the father every time they were in her care.
And how has that worked out? Control freak dads like KRISTOPHER DOHM...and many others like him...have no interest in sharing at all. They want total power. They have no interest in letting the kids talk to their mother. Now this POS has abducted the kids and Mom hasn't heard from them in weeks.
Shared custody sucks. It does not work with abusers. Period. End of discussion.

Hunt for father, boys allegedly abducted, focuses on Nevada

LAS VEGAS (KSNV My News 3) -- A nationwide search for two brothers allegedly abducted by their father last month in New Jersey may be focusing on northern Nevada.
The chief of detectives in Sussex County, N.J., told News 3 today that he feels so strongly about the trio being in Nevada that he has sent several detectives to the Silver State. "I have a detective in Reno today and detectives in three other towns in northern Nevada," Thomas McCormick said.
According to police, Kristopher Dohm of Hapatcong, N.J., took his sons Parker 8, and Jaxon, 7, in early February by telling the boy's mother that he was taking them to see his dying father in Nevada "one last time."
“He had told Ms. Dohm his father was dying in Nevada and asked for a few extra days, if he could fly out there with boys so they could visit with their ailing grandfather,” Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch told the New Jersey Herald, adding Kristopher Dohm said he would return the boys immediately upon their return to New Jersey.
It was later learned that Kristopher Dohm's father was not ill or dying and the flight information given to Sandra Hughes Dohm — the boy's mother — was fake, Koch said.
In a news conference in New Jersey earlier today, an emotional Hughes Dohm said she had not seen her sons since Feb. 3 when they went to their father's and not spoken to them since the night of Feb. 5. Hughes Dohm said she shared custody with her ex-husband and every night when the boys were with her they would call their father to say “good night” and vice versa.
She said that she and Kristopher Dohm have shared custody for five years. She said the boys' relationship with their father was a good one and there was “no indication he would do this.”
McCormick said officials believe Kristopher Dohm's actions to be part of a plan to obtain sole custody of the boys.
McCormick said that Parker is an asthmatic and that Kristopher Dohm suffers from diabetes and needs daily insulin shots. He said officials do not believe Kristopher Dohm would hurt the boys, but are worried about the boys' safety because Kristopher Dohm's health issues may affect his judgment and because the boys are in an unfamiliar place.
McCormick said authorities are following several tips but would not speculate on where Kristopher Dohm and the boys might be and that authorities want “everybody looking for the boys,” across the country.
Kristopher Dohm stands 5-feet-7 inches, and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Officials described Parker as white with brown hair and eyes, standing 4 feet, 3 inches, and weighing 60 pounds.
Jaxon is described as white with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet and weighing 50 pounds.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Jaxon has a “birthmark or mole” on his chin, and his father has a barbed wire tattoo on his right arm and another tattoo on his left leg.
Hughes Dohm has been active on social media with both Facebook and Twitter accounts dedicated to spreading the word about her missing sons.
A prayer vigil for the boys was held on Sunday at Ledgewood Baptist Church where more than 150 people prayed for the safe return of the brothers.
Hughes Dohm, in a message she hoped would reach her sons, said she will never stop looking for them. “No matter what your dad is telling you, you need to know we are looking for you and we want you to come back home to us,” Hughes Dohm said.
McCormick said detectives were doing media interviews in northern Nevada today and would follow any leads they develop. "We got two leads off Facebook this morning while their mother was talking," McCormick told News 3. "If the leads take us to Las Vegas, we will go there."

Enfield father arraigned on abduction charges

ITHACA – Leonard L. Thorne, 38, of Enfield, was arraigned Wednesday for allegedly abducting his two children after losing parental custody, a Tompkins County Sheriff's Office news release said.
Sheriff's Deputies said Thorne abducted the children, ages 2 and 4, around 4 p.m. Tuesday on Heron Drive. He had recently learned of a court order that removed the kids from his custody, and that he had an arrest warrant for child neglect, a news release said.
The Sheriff's Office issued an AMBER Alert for the children on Wednesday morning, and Thorne was found riding a Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit Bus with the children around 1:15 p.m.
A TCAT bus driver identified Thorne from the AMBER Alert, and the driver held the bus on Cornell University's campus while area police converged on the area, a TCAT news release said.
Cornell University Police took Thorne into custody without incident, and the children were unharmed. Tompkins County Department of Social Services has taken custody of the children. Thorne was arraigned before Tompkins County Court Judge Rowley on Wednesday.
The children had been removed from Thorne's custody due to substance abuse, child abuse and neglect history, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office.

It appears that dad DANIEL PEREZ murdered the mother of his sons before taking off with them.
Notice the typical misleading language. We're told the "marriage" was "unstable" and "marred by domestic violence." A marriage is a relationship between entities. It isn't a "thing" per se. This is just the typical way we avoid saying DAD was "unstable" and violent. After all, HE was the one who killed a woman and abducted the kids. Not the "marriage." In other words, just away of confusing the issue of agency and who did what to whom.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Four L.A.-area boys are safe Thursday after their father was taken into custody following a tense standoff along a Santee highway.
Daniel Perez, 43, of Montebello stopped the black 2014 Toyota Camry he was driving in the middle of the eastbound state Route 52 connector road to state Route 67 about 8:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. A standoff ensued until around 9:50 a.m., when two SWAT vehicles pulled up to the front and the back of the Camry and officers in full tactical gear approached the suspect and took him into custody.
Montebello police earlier named Perez a person of interest in the disappearance of his 39-year-old wife, Erica. On Thursday, the L.A. County Coroner's Office confirmed the body found in the trunk of the family car on Wednesday was Erica Perez.
The Perez family was last seen Friday, police said, adding that extended family members described the couple's marriage as unstable and marred by domestic violence. An Amber Alert was issued early Thursday morning for four of the couple's five children.
Sometime around 8 a.m. Thursday, officers pursued Perez from the downtown El Cajon area to state Route 125 to the highway ramp where he stopped. A CHP spokesman said that officers located Perez in the downtown El Cajon area earlier Thursday using the LoJack technology installed on the Camry.
Just before 9 a.m., two of the four young boys got out safely and ran to nearby authorities, but two others remained in the vehicle along with their father until he was taken into custody.
Before the SWAT vehicles pulled up, about a dozen law enforcement cruisers and SUVs stopped behind the black Toyota Camry, which was on an elevated transition roadway. Officers with weapons drawn were just yards from the car.
Perez was talking to law enforcement via cell phone, the CHP said. The CHP reports that during the hour long standoff, Perez was calm and then just suddenly snapped. Also during the standoff, family members in the San Diego area were feeding negotiators information.
Once the suspect's car was blocked in by SWAT vehicles, the standoff quickly came to an end.
"The suspect attempted to jump over the guard rail, was shot with one bean bag nonlethal. Immediately taken to the ground and is in custody. All four boys I saw and talk to them. Seem to be okay physically no injuries. Mentally we don't know how this has affected them,” said Kevin Pearlstein with the CHP. #Officers believe Perez was headed to Mexico.
Perez and his children were transported separately Thursday afternoon to Montebello. The fifth child -- who was not involved in the standoff -- was being cared for by his grandparents.

Before the SWAT vehicles pulled up, about a dozen law enforcement cruisers and SUVs stopped behind the black Toyota Camry, which was on an elevated transition roadway. Officers with weapons drawn were just yards from the car.
Perez was talking to law enforcement via cell phone, the CHP said. The CHP reports that during the hour long standoff, Perez was calm and then just suddenly snapped. Also during the standoff, family members in the San Diego area were feeding negotiators information.
Once the suspect's car was blocked in by SWAT vehicles, the standoff quickly came to an end.
"The suspect attempted to jump over the guard rail, was shot with one bean bag nonlethal. Immediately taken to the ground and is in custody. All four boys I saw and talk to them. Seem to be okay physically no injuries. Mentally we don't know how this has affected them,” said Kevin Pearlstein with the CHP. #Officers believe Perez was headed to Mexico.
Perez and his children were transported separately Thursday afternoon to Montebello. The fifth child -- who was not involved in the standoff -- was being cared for by his grandparents.

A 1-year-old boy named Kyle is just fine after a scary situation involving his father. #Family members say a 21-year-old man named Napoleon fought with his girlfriend and a cousin Friday morning because his girlfriend stayed out all night. The two women tried to drive away from the home and that's when the man fired a shot at them.
The man then ran back into the home on Grandmont near Joy with his 1-year-old son. Fearing a barricaded gunman situation, the man's grandmother called him to tell him to give up.
"He said, 'Granny, I'm coming,'" said Mary Wells, the man's grandmother.
Instead, the father fled with his son. Police caught up to him right away on Chicago. He had his son and a gun in his pants.

Conviction stands for dad in murder of missing 2-year-old daughter (Detroit, Michigan)
D'ANDRE LANE is on the Michigan Killer Dads and Custody list. This little girl's murder took place during Daddy's visitation time.
According to earlier media accounts, Dad previously served two years in prison on gun and drug charges. In addition, his ex-wife had previously filed a protection order, claiming Dad had threatened their 2-year-old son. Dad was then held by police for violating the personal protection order, but Judge Cheryl Matthews released him after ordering him to take (useless) anger management classes.
Despite all this, LANE was granted (and continued to retain) his custody/visitation rights.

Throughout the trial, prosecutors painted Lane as an abusive father was obsessed with potty training his children. Prosecutors alleged Lane beat Bianca to death with a stick after wet herself, covered her body with a blanket and put her in her car seat. They said he then drove Bianca’s siblings to school before dumping her body.
Police said a cadaver dog detected evidence in a closet at Lane’s home.
Lane is serving a no-parole sentence.

Missing boy rescued after 4 years in Clayton County
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police say they rescued a 13-year-old boy who has been reported missing for four years Saturday morning.
Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Hughes said officers first went to the home near Jonesboro about 11 p.m. Friday to conduct a welfare check on a child.
“Upon initial arrival, responding officers made contact with several occupants at the location who denied having knowledge of any information concerning the victim,” Hughes said. “After a brief search of the premises, the officers left without locating the victim.”
At about 2 a.m., police said they received a second call about the boy and returned to the house. When officers arrived and after several minutes of questioning adults in the house, officers found the child hidden behind a panel behind a linen closet in an insulation area in the garage.
“While at the location during the second call, the victim was able to establish phone contact with his mother and she in turn passed on additional information to the officers on the scene,” Clayton County police Sgt. Kevin Hughes said. “The victim was found behind a false wall within the residence.”
The boy repeatedly thanked the officers, police said.
Police arrested five people at the home, including the boy’s father, 37-year-old Gregory Jean, and 42-year-old Samantha Joy Davis, and charged them with false imprisonment, cruelty to children and obstruction. The other three people arrested were juveniles, Hughes said.
Authorities said the boy was visiting his father from Florida in 2010 and refused to return him to his mother.
The boy told authorities he used an app on a cell phone to get in touch with his mother.
The boy was reunited with his mother just after 11 a.m. at the Clayton County police department.
A neighbor told Winne the boy was frequently outside the house, mostly doing yard work but sometimes playing.
Authorities say they have a lot of unanswered questions and they are working with the boy's mother.
Authorities said the child’s mother apparently reported the boy missing to child welfare authorities but not previously to police possibly because she’s an immigrant unfamiliar with the system.
Deputy Chief Mike register there were too many unanswered questions this morning as to who has custody and why police weren’t brought in earlier. The boy will likely stay in the custody of Division of Family and Children Services to ensure the child’s safety, the police department’s primary concern.
Police told Channel 2 Action News they believe Davis was convicted of child cruelty charge in Henry County in 2006. We're working on investigating the alleged charge.

A father is in custody after he reportedly ‘kidnapped’ his 13-day-old son and the infant’s remains discovered hours later.
The heart-wrenching and disturbing events unfolded yesterday afternoon (Nov 23).
Prince Yahweh Henry, also known as Shabba and Nkozi, of Parrays Village, left the home he shared with the mother of his twin babies with the male infant sometime after midnight. Henry was reportedly having a “mental health” issue at the time.
Late that morning police reached out to the media and public for assistance in locating the missing man and the child.
After 2pm, following an intense police search, Henry was located in the Bayfords mountains; he did not have the baby with him.
He then led police to where he claimed he had buried the dead infant.
“Prince Henry admitted to leaving the child in the hills and took the police to the location. Remains of an infant believed to be the missing infant, were found on the scene. Prince Yahweh Henry is now in police custody assisting with the investigation,” police reported Sunday evening.
The Observer understands from a source close to the investigation that flesh had been ‘removed’ from parts of the infant, right down to the bones.
Police inform that an autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death and other critical information.

Protective mom fights abusive custodial dad over disabled sons (Plymouth County, Iowa)
Since this is being covered in the Native American press, the issue is being framed as a Native mother being crushed by a white father. That angle obviously plays into it, no doubt about it.
But we have seen similar situations played out where ethnic/racial differences are not apparent. To a very large extent, this is testimony to how much power the fathers rights movement has been able to wield over the family courts and child "protection" system. And that also needs to be brought out.
The fact that 17-year-old boys are being silenced by the courts is very much a fathers rights thing. SHAME ON JUDGE EDWARD JACOBSON for engaging in heavy-handed FR tactics.

Sioux Mother to Return to Court in Latest Fight for Her Abused Sons

On Friday, November 21 another hearing is scheduled in the Iowa District Court in Plymouth County in an interstate custody showdown that has sparked national outrage among tribes and Indian child welfare advocates over the return of disabled twin brothers to the custody of their non-Indian father, who has six founded cases of child abuse on his record. One of the boys is wheelchair bound with cerebral palsy, while the other is blind and has autism.
Last June, Audre’y Eby, the twins’ Rosebud Sioux mother who resides in Nebraska, was jailed for a week in Iowa on kidnapping charges for refusing to return the boys back to their father after officials in Nebraska threatened her with child endangerment charges when they found evidence of abuse during an emergency room visit, in which blood and bruises were found on one of the boys’ groin area. The boys testified to officials in both states that their father’s girlfriend had kicked one of them after she caught him masturbating and that the father had threatened to “cut his privates off.”
Trapped between competing interstate jurisdictions, Eby said she had no choice but to keep her children, even though she subsequently went to jail in Iowa for trying to protect them from their abusers.
Eby kept the boys in Nebraska for a time, but subsequently moved them to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota in order to protect them from their father and his live-in girlfriend, both of whom have been placed on the Iowa Central Abuse Registry for physical abuse, denial of critical care and failure to provide proper supervision to the twins. In early October, the boys, who are now 17, were ordered to appear before Judge Edward Jacobson for testimony at a hearing, with which Eby complied. But rather than allowing the boys to testify as ordered, Jacobson instead ordered half a dozen police officers to physically remove the boys from their mother’s custody in the hallway of the courthouse in front of at least a dozen bystanders, who were shocked that the incident took place in such a public manner with no plan for a peaceful transfer, as usually is required under these circumstances. Eby said both boys were struggling and screaming to stay with her as they were being led away by law enforcement.
“Judge Jacobson said ‘I don’t allow children to testify in my court,’” said Eby. “The order was a ruse to get me to bring them [to Iowa] so they could take them from me.”
Subsequently, in a one-page ruling issued by Judge Edward Jacobson that only vaguely refers to the evidence that was presented, the boys were immediately ordered back to their father that day. Jacobson only mentioned that Eby had “absconded” with the children, in spite of the fact that the State of Nebraska had threatened her with child endangerment if she returned them to their father. Judge Jacobson also ordered that “Mr. Courtright shall have full care, custody, and control of both children. Visistation [sic] shall be at Mr. Courtright's discretion,” in spite of six founded charges of abuse on father’s record.
Eby has had no contact with her children since that time and that the boys’ father has threatened her that she will “never see them again” if she continues with the case.
“One can say that these young men fell through the cracks,” says Frank LaMere, the director of the Four Directions Community Center in Sioux City, Iowa. “The people over in Plymouth County absolutely knew what was happening to these boys and they turned a blind eye. The DHS and the officers of the court are very aware of the abuse charges against their father, but they feel no responsibility whatsoever in spite of the fact that these allegations have been confirmed and are on the record.”
LaMere says that he intends to be at the hearing on Friday, along with other members of the Native community to show their support for the twins and their mother, who they feel is victim of the racist policies toward Native parents in courtrooms across the country.
“If a Native man had six allegations of abuse on his record, he would be serving five to 10 years in prison,” said LaMere, who is a member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. “But we have a white father and a white girlfriend with six founded charges and what does Judge Jacobson do? He gives the abused children back to their perpetrators and throws the Indian mother in jail. I’ve never seen anything like it in all my years of Indian child welfare experience.”
Next week, Eby and LaMere are scheduled to attend the 12th Annual March to Honor Lost Children in Sioux City. For 12 years, says LaMere, it has been necessary to organize these marches and events to raise awareness of the challenges faced by Native community members who find themselves locked in a never-ending battle with child welfare systems across the country.
“We have worked hard to build a good relationship with officials here in Woodbury County,” said LaMere. “But there are countless counties across the country that ignore the Indian Child Welfare Act. Sadly, they forget that ICWA is not a ‘defense’ strategy – it is federal law. And we want to ensure that they are attentive to the requirements of the law.”

A father who kidnapped his own baby girl from Britain after his marriage broke down has been jailed for his “unspeakable cruelty."
Maher Belaid, 34, abducted their three-month-old daughter to Libya while his wife was on a shopping trip - and she has not seen her for more than two years.
The judge had told Belaid to return little Talia, now 27 months, to Britain to be with her mother. But the court heard he has refused to co-operate with the British Embassy.
Restaurant worker Belaid was jailed for six-and-a-half years as the judge apologised to the child’s sobbing mother for not being able to jail him for longer.
Belaid fled to his North African home with Talia in November two years ago after his marriage in Britain broke down.
And he has refused to return Talia, now 27 months old, who is being looked after by Belaid’s mother in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
The marriage - which allowed immigrant Belaid to stay in Britain - broke down after the birth of Talia.
But the judge heard there was “no prospect” of her being returned to her mother Malgorzata, 30, in Barry, South Wales.
Restaurant worker Belaid was arrested after returning to Britain without his daughter.
The court heard that Belaid copied his uncle Mohammed who had stayed in Libya with his young daughter and not allowed her to return to Britain five years ago.
Prosecutor Matthew Cobbe said Belaid whisked his daughter to Heathrow airport for a flight to Libya while his wife was shopping in the centre of Cardiff.
Mr Cobbe said: “He phoned her in the evening and told her he was in Tunisia and that Talia was safe. “He said he had done nothing wrong, he was teaching her a lesson, and he could take Talia when he wanted and it was no problem for him.” Newport Crown Court heard that Talia’s mother would see her for just a few minutes at a time on internet phone service Skype.
The hearing was told that she was tormented by the little girl calling Belaid’s mother “mum”. Mr Cobbe said: “The defendant’s cruelty has deprived the mother of her child and has deprived his child of the love she could have received from her mother. “The emotional hardship she has endured is plain to see and is heartbreaking.”
Belaid’s lawyer Richard Ace said that efforts to bring the toddler back to Britain had “hit a brick wall”.
Belaid, of Roath, Cardiff, who admitted abduction, was jailed for six and a half years.
Judge Patrick Harrington QC said he was restricted by sentencing powers otherwise he would have given Belaid a “far far longer” term behind bars for his “unspeakable cruelty”.
Belaid - who met his future wife while both worked at a pizza takeaway - was told by the judge: “This is a harrowing case.
“You put into effect a cruel deception and the torment you have inflicted on a very nice girl is simply beyond measure.
“Rarely have I seen a case of such unspeakable cruelty.”

What do you mean that dad MICHAEL LEE "took" the 1-year-old girl from her mother two weeks ago? Did he abduct her? Then say so. So then Daddy is caught acting perv-y, and it turns out he stole a truck, and he resists arrest?
Lots of weird sh** going on here. Somehow I think there is lot more here than meets the surface.

ACOMA, N.M. (KRQE) – A man accused of swimming naked in a hotel pool with his 1-year-old daughter has been arrested.
New Mexico State Police officers say they responded to a call at the Sky Casino in Acoma, and upon arrival made contact with Michale Lee, 35, of La Palma Calif., who had allegedly taken the girl from her mother in Mexico two weeks prior.
Police say Lee fled to California and stole a semi-truck in Oceanside, then drove to New Mexico.
Lee did not cooperate with officers at the hotel, police say, but he was eventually taken into custody. His child taken by the Children, Youth and Families Department.
Police say Lee has been charged with child abuse, receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, resisting an officer and indecent exposure.
Lots of weird sh** going on here. Somehow I think there is lot more here than meets the surface.
