Chicago police on Saturday were investigating the death of a 3-month-old South Side girl as child welfare officials looked into allegations against the baby's father.
Aurora Hall was being fed at home in the 1700 block of East 84th Place when she became unresponsive about 3:45 p.m. Friday, her mother told police.
She was pronounced dead about 10:30 p.m. in Comer Children's Hospital, authorities said. An autopsy conducted Saturday showed Aurora had suffered head injuries. A Department of Children and Family Services spokesman said the agency is investigating an allegation of death by abuse against the baby's father.
