Stepdad shoots 11-year-old son (Durban, Australia)

UNNAMED STEPDAD has been accused of shooting his 9-year-old son at school. The useless press blames a "lover's quarrel," which is nonsense. Just because you argue with your wife doesn't mean you shoot an innocent child.

Boy shot, stepfather held

A nine-year-old boy was allegedly shot by his stepfather at his township school yesterday. Police believe the shooting was related to a lover's quarrel.

The child is in a serious condition in a Durban hospital.

Umlazi police spokesman Inspector Bonginkosi Thabethe said the stepfather had gone to see the boy at Emafezini Primary School.

Thabethe said the man asked to see the boy, who confirmed that the man was his father. "A gunshot was heard a few minutes after the boy left his classroom."

The teacher found the child on the ground bleeding, while his step-father ran from the scene.

"The boy was shot under his chin," Thabethe said. The manwill appear in court today.
