If UNNAMED DAD has confessed to murdering his 8-year-old son--by beating him to death--then why is he unnamed?

Outrage at father’s murder confession
Eyewitness News 1 Hour Ago
There has been widespread outrage at the alleged confession of a Mitchells Plain father to the murder of his eight-year-old son.
Moegamat Yunis Desai’s body was discovered at the weekend alongside Vanguard Drive.
He had apparently been missing for over two weeks and was apparently beaten to death.
Western Cape Social Development MEC Ivan Meyer said he was horrified by the murder and appealed to parents to keep a close eye on their children.
Meanwhile, Childline’s Joan van Niekerk said the disbanding of the police’s Child Protection Unit was partly to blame for a recent surge in child murders.
“We really do believe that the demise of the child protection units have had serious consequences and resulted in some real deficits in the child protection field,” she said.
Obviously, an update is required, so this is what I found out. The murdered little boy had been kidnapped by his father, JUNAID DESAI.

The small body of eight-year-old Moegamat Yunis Desai, whose father is to be charged with his murder, was laid to rest with only a handful of relatives there to pay their last respects.
Family members prayed during the burial at the Vygiekraal Cemetary in Athlone on Monday and laid flowers at the grave.
The boy was found dead on Sunday, still in his school uniform in the bushes along Vanguard drive on the border between Westridge and Philippi East. A passerby had stumbled upon the corpse and alerted police. It appeared he had been assaulted with a blunt object to the head and chest.
He had been reported missing almost two weeks previously.
Police arrested his father, Junaid Desai, who appeared briefly in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates' Court on Monday, initially on a kidnapping charge.
