Dad sentenced to 15 years for murder of 2-month-old son (Clyde, Ohio)

We initially reported on this story when it first broke a little over a year ago. Dad K.C. GOBLE has now pleaded no contest in the murder of his 2-month-old son, and has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Well, it's not life. But then it's not like the 2-5 year sentences that have become so distressingly common lately either.

Clyde father sentenced in death of infant son

FREMONT — A Clyde, Ohio, man charged in the death of his 2-month-old son has pleaded no contest to one count of murder.

After entering the plea Tuesday, K.C. Goble, 23, was found guilty by Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge Barbara Ansted and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

Goble has been in the Sandusky County jail since Jan. 12, 2010, when his girlfriend called 911 to report the couple’s infant son, Preston Goble, was not breathing. The baby died Jan. 13 at Toledo Children’s Hospital.

An autopsy showed the child died from blunt head trauma.
