Custodial dad takes plea for making daughter live outside (Miami, Florida)

Once again, we see The Case of the Missing Mother. The fact that this girl must have had a mother at one time, someone who gave birth to her, isn't acknowledged in any way, shape, or form. And note that this "pants wearing" wife is very clearly not the mother. So what happened to the mother? Who knows? Once again, we have the usual media silence on the matter.

So apparently we have a custodial dad, PHILIPE MATHIEU, who is accused of making his teen daughter live outside and sleep in an old car on the property. Daddy's lawyer is trying to paint him as the Victim, too. He was forced to live outside as well! By that mean "pants wearing" wife of his! Which the judge seems to have bought into, as Daddy is getting just three years probation for a staggering 863 COUNTS OF CHILD NEGLECT.

What's wrong with this dude? Is he mentally ill? Or just an incompetent idiot? I have yet to see any evidence about what was so scary about the "pants wearing" one, and why Daddy could't have intervened. He didn't want to "upset" her? Are you kidding me?

Skip a few posts below (short cut here: http://dastardlydads.blogspot.com/2011/02/dad-arrested-for-abusing-2-month-old.html) and you'll see a mother charged because she "failed" to protect her baby from a seriously volatile and crazy father who not only seriously abused their child, but stabbed himself when the police tried to arrest him. Somehow, a young woman is supposed to know how to handle and control a violent maniac like that. Silly me. I thought it took a team of mental health workers to tackle and sedate somebody in that kind of psychotic state.

And yet this poor, poor daddy gets a pass against a woman who wears pants. Give me a freaking break.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

Dad Takes Plea for Making Daughter Live Outside
Father gets three years probation for living outside with his daughter

A father accused of making his daughter live in deplorable conditions outside despite having a large home won't be going to jail.

Philipe Mathieu took a plea deal Monday that results in him serving three years probation despite originally facing 863 counts of child neglect against his 16-year-old daughter.

The girl lived outside the family's four-bedroom, two-bathroom Little Haiti home for eight years before investigators finally arrested Mathieu and his wife, Sherrine, in May.

Mathieu's attorneys argued that he was also a victim and that his wife wore the pants in the family. She forced him to live outside, too.

The girl told police she was forced to eat, sleep and bathe outside and was rarely allowed inside the house. She urinated in cups and reused plastic bags when she needed to defecate.

The girl often slept in an old car parked on the property and was given 40 cents a day to wash clothes.

Philipe, 62, told investigators that the girl and father lived outside because his wife was a clean freak and he didn't want to upset her.

The girl is in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

Sherrine Mathieu, 42, still faces hundreds of child neglect charges.
