Dad runs from cops, leaves 11-month-old son in car (Dallas, Texas)
UNNAMED DAD was pulled over by the cops for an expired registration. But it seems Daddy got a little nervous given his previous, uh, pharmaceutical activities (not to mention the inconvenience of being caught in a stolen car), so he took off running--leaving his 11-month-old son behind. Notice that "family members" picked up this child from CPS. Where is Mom?
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

DALLAS - Dallas police officer Reynold Mabee was trying to pull over a 2006 Buick for having an expired registration.
The driver stopped in an apartment complex at Royal Land and Fair Oaks Crossing, but after getting out of his car he took off running.
Officer Mabee followed.
“I gave chase. I called for backup,” he said.
But after the man jumped over a fence and down a steep embankment, Mabee lost him.
“I started looking through the car’s back window and a little baby was sitting in the back seat,” he said.
The 11-month-old boy was fast asleep.
“I shook his leg. He didn’t move or wake up. I was like, please don’t be dead. I shook his arm.
He didn’t move or wake up,” Mabee said.
Finally he picked the boy up.
“He opened his eyes, smiled and I was like, thanks for not being dead,” he said.
Officer Mabee played with the baby.
“He didn’t cry at all. He had a big smile on his face. We have flashlights. He was playing with the flashlight, touching the badge, playing with the radio,” he said.
Fellow officers joined him in playing with and caring for the baby, who eventually fell asleep again on Officer Kristin King’s shoulder.
Police haven’t yet arrested his father. But they said they know who he is and why he’s running. The car he was driving was stolen and he had a warrant for a drug charge.
He will now also face charges for evading arrest, driving a stolen car and child abandonment.
Family members picked up the baby from Child Protective Services.
