Dad accused of poisoning kids could take plea deal (Grand Rapids, Michigan)

It's interesting how many important details gets lost as these stories are continually updated. Back in May, it was made clear that this attempted murder (oops, now apparently being pleaded down to "just" child abuse) took place as dad JOSE OLIVA-ROSA's marriage was ending. Note that Mom had filed for an order of protection against Dad, but he still apparently had visitation with these kids. Sick. It's a miracle they survived.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Wyoming father who is accused of trying to poison his 2-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter could take a plea deal.

Jose Oliva-Rosa waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Prosecutors are willing to drop two counts of second degree child abuse and poisoning if he pleads guilty to two counts of attempted murder.

Police say Oliva-Rosa tried to force his kids to drink brake fluid at their home back in May.
