Babysitting dad admits hitting 2-month-old son for crying (Colorado Springs, Colorado)
Yet another case of a "babysitting" (i.e. deadbeat) dad who was would rather play on the computer all day then do anything productive. Of course Mom was at work when dad DANIEL KIM assaulted the baby for crying. And she was the one who rushed the baby to the hospital, not the useless father....

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- An arrest affidavit shows how Daniel Kim, 22, admitted to police in simple but shocking terms, what he did to his son when the infant wouldn't stop crying.
In the document, Colorado Springs police said that Kim, after first giving them conflicting versions of the incident, finally confessed to what happened in his unit at the Cottonwood Park Apartments on Bijou Street near Academy Boulevard around 9 p.m. Saturday. Kim gave a police a statement at the Police Operations Center.
According to the affidavit, Kim said he "snapped" after he woke to crying by his 2-month-old son, Ezra, and that the child wouldn't stop crying. Kim admitted that he hit Ezra's head "pretty hard," using his fist with "basically everything I could throw."
Afterward, Kim said he noticed Ezra's cry was different, at a lower pitch, and that Ezra couldn't use his right arm well. Kim said his effort at medical attention was to put ice on Ezra's head.
A neighbor who asked to remain anonymous, seemed to confirm some details in the affidavit.
"The mom left with the baby," she said. "My husband said he saw her leave with him, and that's when the cops came over."
The affidavit states that Ezra's mother came home from work, saw that he was injured and rushed him to a hospital after calling her father on the East Coast to ask for advice. Kim was on the computer at the time and said he didn't know what was wrong with Ezra.
Kim was advised in court on Monday, on a charge of child abuse causing serious bodily injury. Avoiding such a crime is why a task force was formed earlier this year, hoping to educate parents.
"The trials and tribulations of what a parent goes through, certainly there's a lot of frustration, a lot of learning," the neighbor said. "But you have to learn to step away and take a breath."
Police said Ezra suffered a broken skull, possible chest trauma, and bruises to his head and face. Memorial Hospital had no details on his condition as of Monday night.
