Dad gets life for rape, murder of 5-month-old daughter (Gatesville, Texas)

Notice that dad JOSEPH EDWARD ALLSOP originally got a pass in this case. It wasn't until another little boy reported being molested by this POS that the authorities re-investigated the baby's death. No mention of the baby's mother here.

Just wondering. Why doesn't the media report this as a "heterosexual" or "bisexual" dad?

Man gets life terms over daughter's death in Texas

GATESVILLE, Texas (AP) - Prosecutors say a Central Texas man whose 5-month-old daughter died after he sexually assaulted her has been sentenced to life in prison.

A capital murder charge has been dropped against Joseph Edward Allsop of Copperas Cove in the 2005 death of Jade Allsop.

The 27-year-old father pleaded guilty Tuesday in Gatesville to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Allsop, as part of the plea deal, was sentenced to two life prison terms, to be served consecutively.

Coryell County District Attorney David Castillo says Allsop will not be eligible for parole until he is 87 years old.

Investigators initially ruled the baby suffocated and foul play was not suspected. The case was reopened after a boy came forward in 2010 to allege he had been molested by Allsop.
