SAN ANTONIO -- Prosecutors have upgraded the charges against a father accused of beating to death his infant son.

Police said 22-year-old Justin Janosik will face a capital murder charge.

Janosik originally was arrested on one count of injury to a child after his 3-week-old son died early Sunday morning.

An autopsy showed the baby boy died from "cranial-cerebral blunt force injury."

The infant, Kaleb Janosik, was found dead and bruised at his parents house in the 10300 block of Appomattox early Sunday morning, police said.

The father admitted to hitting his son in the head, neck and back since the child was born, according to an arrest warrant. The boy was abused Sunday night because he would not stop crying, police said.

Janosik is being held on a $100,000 bond.
