Dad VICTOR UNG is currently on trial for sexually abusing his daughter over 9 years. Notice that Daddy Dearest was the child's "principal babysitter." I think we need to get back to using Grandma or your sister as babysitters. Not pervs, deadbeats, unemployable felons, wife beaters, or otherwise clueless sperm donors glued to video games.

RIVERSIDE - Trial motions are scheduled today in the case of a Moreno Valley man accused of repeatedly molesting his young daughter and exposing her to hardcore pornography over a nine-year span.

Victor Ung, 50, could face life in prison if convicted of 53 counts of lewd acts on a child and 28 counts of sexual penetration by force. The defendant, who is represented by Los Angeles attorney Mark Geragos, is free on $1 million bail.

Court papers allege Ung sexually abused his daughter from the time she was 3 years old.

According to an affidavit filed in support of an arrest warrant by Riverside County sheriff's Detective David Street, beginning in 1994, Ung allegedly started molesting the child, whose identity was not released.

The victim told investigators her first memory of an intimate encounter with her father was when he allegedly had her masturbate him.

According to Street, the girl alleged Ung showed her numerous pornographic videos, mainly played via the Internet.

The victim accused her father of compelling her to watch pornography that involved child sex acts and bestiality, which aroused him.

"The victim stated that Victor Ung would molest her at either their home when his wife was gone or at his book store, both located in Moreno Valley," Street said. "By the time she was 10 years old, she started to realize this wasn't right. She would often tell her father no, but he would molest her anyway."

Ung was the child's principal babysitter, according to the detective.

He said the defendant's wife, Kathie Ung, acknowledged having suspicions about the nature of her husband's interaction with their daughter, but never witnessed anything first-hand.

At age 12, the girl divulged what allegedly had been going on, and Kathie Ung immediately initiated divorce proceedings, according to Street.

Victor Ung moved to Alabama soon after, but left behind three of his computers, court papers state.

A forensic investigator examined the contents of the computers' hard drives and discovered "a large volume of child pornography, adult pornography and bestiality on them," Street said.

Ung was arrested and charged in December 2007.
