Dad charged with aggravated child abuse in death of 1-month-old son (Normandy, Tennessee)
If you read Dastardly with any regularity, you'll recognize a very typical tale of an abuser father here. A young, utterly clueless dad apparently "caretaking" a very young infant--and with NO MENTION of a mother in the picture. Once again, we have a baby--A NEWBORN--who was murdered. And in the utterly vicious way you frequently see with these dads. Fatal brain injuries and hemorrhaging. And fractured ribs.
This time the dad is ANDREW KEITH ROBINSON.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

Grand jury to hear child abuse case
The case of an 18-year-old Normandy father accused of aggravated child abuse has been bound over to the Bedford County Grand Jury. However, prosecutors said the charge may be amended to a more serious one after the case is reviewed Monday by the Grand Jury.
Andrew Keith Johnston, 18, was arrested last October on a charge of abusing his one-month-old son William Johnston at a Normandy Road residence.
The child was transported by ambulance to Harton Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he later died.
The report stated that while the child was en route to Vanderbilt he suffered a stroke from hemorrhaging.
According to a report by Tullahoma Police Officer Tiffany Host, Lifeflight nurses reported to the Harton staff that they observed broken ribs in X-rays of the child and fingerprint marks on his leg.
During a hearing in Bedford County General Sessions Court testimony was presented by a sheriff’s investigator that Johnston gave her a written statement in which he allegedly confessed to injuring the infant.
The court also received an autopsy report, which stated that the child died of non-accidental trauma and the cause of the death was homicide.
