Of course, we also have a case where there is NO MENTION of a mother, even though in any other civilized country, the mom would still be home on maternity leave. Not in the United States though. No, in this country, we expect moms to get up and go back to work as soon as they can stand if not before then. Then we draft all the unemployable felons and assorted thug daddies to do infant care, since the employers certainly don't want them. So where is Mom anyway? What are her feelings about this? Who knows, as she been erased from the picture entirely. It's as if we have a new generation of babies that are not given birth to by real human women, but simply delivered by stork.

Kearny father charged with breaking leg and ribs of 27-day-old son; bail set at $120,000

A Kearny man was arrested yesterday on charges he broke a leg and multiple ribs of his 27-day-old son, who has since been taken into the custody of the state, officials said yesterday.
Christopher Zbikowski, 36, of Belgrove Drive, made his first court appearance at 3 p.m. yesterday on charges of aggravated assault, child abuse, and endangering the welfare of child, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Dill said.
At the hearing, Zbikowski's bail was set at $120,000 cash or bond by Superior Court Judge Joseph Isabella, Dill said. It was not clear if Zbikowski would post bail or if he would be sent to the Hudson County jail in Kearny.
On Friday, the state Division of Youth and Family Services called the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office's Special Victim's Unit to inform investigators that the infant was at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, Dill said.
The child was being treated for a fractured femur and seven broken ribs, Dill said, adding that additional bruises and scratches were also found on the infant.
The baby was taken into the custody of DYFS and the investigation launched by the SVU led to Zbikowski's arrest yesterday, Dill said.
