Dad who set fire to family's apartment turns himself in (Pine Hills, Florida)

Dad JEAN LOUIS GIBSON has been charged with 1st-degree arson, child neglect, and culpable negligence after he "allegedly" (and deliberately) set a mattress on fire in the family home. No mention of a mother. Is there one?

Deputies: Father who set fire to his family's apartment turns himself in

A Pine Hills father accused of deliberately setting a mattress on fire in his family's apartment turned himself in on Thursday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Jean Louis Gibson, 27, faces charges of first-degree arson, child neglect and culpable negligence. He was booked into Orange County Jail, where he remained Friday evening.

Firefighters were called to Gibson's second-floor unit in the 5400 block of Pine Chase Drive in the Silver Pines Apartments about 3:55 p.m. Monday after neighbors called 911 to report smoke coming from the apartment.
