Dad arrested for battering 4-year-old son; no mention of mother (Underwood, Indiana)

Is CHRISTOPHER A. BRUCK a single father? Notice that the assault took place at "Bruck's home" (not the "parents' home") and that there is zero mention of the mother here or elsewhere. What happened to Mom? Is this a custody/visitation situation? Is the mother deceased? If so, from natural causes? Does Dad have a history of domestic violence/child abuse? Lots of unanswered questions raised here.

Clark County, Indiana father arrested for battering 4-year-old child

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Indiana State Police say a Clark County man has been arrested on a charge of child battery.

Authorities arrested Christopher A. Bruck, 27, of Underwood, Indiana on Saturday, after police say he abused his four-year-old son. Police say the abuse happened at Bruck's home, which is in the 20000 block of Campbell Street in Underwood.

Officers with the Indiana State Police at Sellersburg responded to Kosair Children's Hospital to investigate the child's injuries. The child was transferred there, after initially being taken to the Scott County Hospital in Scott County, Indiana.

Officials say a doctor at the Scott County County Hospital contacted police after examining the child's injuries.

Police say Bruck told them during an interview at Kosair that he became upset with his son and struck him.

Authorities transported Bruck to the Clark County Jail. He's charged with aggravated battery and neglect of a dependant
