LODI, Calif. -- A Lodi father has been arrested in connection with the death of his infant son, who may have been shaken, police said Thursday.

Brandon Lagorio, 19, was booked Wednesday into Lodi City Jail on suspicion of one count of murder and one count of felony child abuse resulting in the death of child less than 8 years old. He is being held without bail.

At about 7:10 a.m. on Aug. 26, police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the 300 block of South Orange Avenue for a report of an unresponsive infant. Upon arrival, they found that the child had died.

Police said investigators determined that the infant suffered "non-accidental trauma" that may have been the result of shaking.
