Union City police say dad, 55, admits raping 15-year-old daughter last fall

A 55-year-old Union City resident has admitted raping his 15-year-old daughter on a couch in the family's living room on Nov. 1, according to a criminal complaint.
The 22nd Street man appeared in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City yesterday afternoon via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
Bail was set at $150,000, cash or bond, by Hudson County Superior Court Judge Paul DePascale prior to the man’s CJP hearing.
The Union City man is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse, the complaint states. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
The man was ordered to have no contact with his daughter, a court official said.
