Convicted child abuser dad sentenced for hurting second baby (Grand Haven, Michigan)

Somehow, sadistic piece of sh** doesn't even come close to describing dad RYAN KUPRES.

Father sentenced in child abuse case

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - An Ottawa County judge Monday morning described Ryan Kupres' actions as "beyond despicable…beyond outrageous," as the convicted child abuser was sentenced.

Kupres was convicted last month after violently shaking his 5-month-old child.

The judge expressed in court Monday that it was obvious Kupres, 28, enjoyed inflicting pain on his own children.

Judge Jon Hulsing ordered Kupres to spend 15 to 22 years in prison. Judge Hulsing went above the sentencing guidelines, giving Kupres more time behind bars than what is suggested for the crime.

"The jury got this case absolutely right. The court finds that words cannot adequately describe the crime you have committed against your children. Your repeated acts are beyond despicable, beyond reprehensible, and beyond outrageous. Because of that, the maximum sentence is not only justified, but demanded, in order to protect your children but society as a whole."

His daughter, Layla, was in serious condition for a few days in April 2012, but has since recovered and doesn't appear to have any lasting effects of her injuries.

This isn't the first time Kupres has been accused of child abuse. He pleaded no contest in 2008 to abusing another baby, his then 3-week-old son. That baby also sustained broken bones.
