Dad arrested after toddlers found wandering the city at night (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina)
I wonder if dad SEAN CAGLE is a single and/or custodial father. Notice that there is no mention of a mother in the home, and that the children are now with (unidentified) "appropriate caregivers" (not Mom?)
Wonder what happened to Mom? As often happens, the mother is erased from the story.

A Roanoke Rapids man is facing child abuse charges after his toddlers were located at night unattended at two different parts of the city.
Deputy Police Chief Tommy Hathaway said Officer Roy Ball responded to Chockoyotte Street in Roanoke Rapids at 8:39 p.m. Monday in response to a 2 year old that was unattended and almost hit by a vehicle.
“Officer Ball was able to locate the child, and a second report came in that a 1-year-old child was near Premier Boulevard with just a diaper on,” Hathaway said. “Officer Gerald Morris was able to locate that child.”
Through their investigation, according to Hathaway, the officers determined the children were related. The children’s father, Sean Cagle, of the 200 block of Chockoyotte Street, was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of child abuse.
He is free after posting a $5,000 bond. He was assigned a May 10 court date.
Hathaway said the Department of Social Services responded and placed the two children with appropriate caregivers.
