Dad accused of shaking, punching 2-month-old son; baby on life support (Dallas, Texas)
Yet another daddy gets "frustrated" and erupts into a violent rage over...diaper changing.
Dad is identified as ERIC AVILA.
Why teen fathers make terrible babysitters....Unfortunately, "involving" testosterone-fueled young men in infant care has become a social obsession. The results are mostly disastrous.

A Dallas man is accused of shaking his 2-month-old son, causing seizures, according to police documents.
Eric Avila, 17, was charged with injury to a child. He is accused of punching his son in the genitals and shaking him on Dec. 22 or 23, an arrest warrant affidavit states. The charge is a first-degree felony with a maximum penalty of life in prison.
Avila confessed in a Jan. 2 police interview that he was frustrated at the child’s mother for going to a dance club the night before, according to the affidavit. He said he was changing the boy’s diaper when he struck him. He then began shaking the child while carrying him, he reportedly told police.
The infant was admitted to Children’s Medical Center Dallas on Dec. 27 with seizures and required life support. As of Dec. 31, he was still in the Intensive Care Unit. His condition was unavailable Wednesday.
Avila was arrested Jan. 3. Bail was set at $50,000. He posted bond and was released Sunday.
