Dad arrested for shooting mom, abducting 2-year-old daughter (Gresham, Oregon)

Thank goodness Dad was arrested before he became "frustrated" and violent towards the daughter. Any dad who is more than willing to shoot a 2-year old's mother is an abusive father by definition. 

Dad is identified as JOSHUA R. CAVETT.

Amber Alert Canceled. Father in Custody.

An AMBER Alert was canceled when a shooting suspect was taken into custody Saturday October 12th.

Gresham Police Department asked for the public's help to find suspect Joshua R. Cavett, age 36, from Portland, who had his 2-year-old daughter Paige Cavett.

The suspect is the child's biological father but does not have legal custody. He was believed to be armed and dangerous.

Police said Cavett is a member of the Gypsy Jokers Motorcycle Club. He was a suspect in the shooting of the girl's mother just before noon at the Holly Ridge apartments, said Lt. Claudio Grandjean with Gresham police.

The 27-year-old woman, Jessie Cavett is in the hospital with lift-threatening injuries.
