LAS VEGAS (FOX5) - The Las Vegas father accused of abusing his 3-year-old son to death appeared in court on Tuesday.
Jonathan Quisano, 26, appeared for his felony arraignment in Las Vegas Justice Court.
Quisano was arrested in June after his son Khayden was rushed to the hospital with head and internal injuries, according to police documents.
In those documents, Quisano claims the tot fell over the back of a couch while he was watching him on June 6. He also said he tried splashing water on the boy's face after the fall before the child began vomiting and coughing up blood.
Detectives later determined Quisano's story was inconsistent with the injuries the child sustained. Quisano denied injuring the child, police said.
On Tuesday, a court date was set for Nov. 14 to allow a report on the child's injuries to be admitted in the case.
Quisano was charged with first-degree murder with a sexual assault/abuse of a child enhancement.
