AN IPSWICH father is on trial for indecently dealing with his daughter in a caravan.
The 44-year-old man, who cannot be named, was living in a caravan park at Aratula when in May 2009 he allegedly touched his biological daughter inappropriately during a visit. Ipswich District Court heard the man and the girl's mother had separated and his daughter would visit on weekends.
Between May 29 and September 30, and in November 2010 the girl claimed her father groped her in the caravan at Aratula and Blacksoil.
The man has pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent treatment to a child in his care. On each occasion the father would send the girl's siblings to the toilet block for showers so he could be alone with his daughter, the court heard.
While together, the father touched the girl on her breasts and genitals, the jury was told. The Crown will allege the indecent treatment was not isolated and occurred regularly.
The trial, before Judge Greg Koppenol, continues today.
