CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 6-year-old girl and her 22-year-old mother were shot dead Monday night by the child's father, police said.
The 24-year-old man then turned the gun on himself.
The dead have been identified as Nakisha Jackson, her daughter, Kammla Perry, and her father, Demar Perry.
Police were called at 10:58 p.m. about shots being fired in the 1700 block of Hillview Road, north of Euclid Avenue.
Officers found the three bodies outside with gunshot wounds, and paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene.
The man had entered the home and forced the woman and child outside at gunpoint, Sgt. Sammy Morris said. "Once outside, the male shot both females and then shot himself."
There were three other people in the home at the time of the shooting who were not injured, Morris said.
