Dad, son "shared lust" for child porn (Burnley, England, United Kingdom)
Dad DAVID SHAW: Not exactly a fine paternal role model. He obviously destroyed his son, who turned into a reclusive child porn freak--living with dear old dad, no less. His own daughter wants nothing to do with the old man. And was there ever a mother in this home? Totally written out of the picture. Why?
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

Father and son shared lust for vile child porn
Published on Tuesday 21 June 2011 03:19
A PERVERT who had a stash of vile Internet child porn has been jailed while his son, who also kept a collection of filthy images at the home they shared in Burnley, walked free from court.
Disabled David Shaw (59) had hundreds of images, which included an 18-month-old baby being sexually assaulted, toddlers being violated and bestiality videos. He had stored photos, which he said he had been provided with through a chat forum, and was said to have only stopped looking at them when he was arrested. His reclusive son, Robert (25) said to rarely set foot out of his bedroom, had downloaded images of teenagers five years ago, but had not accessed them since.
David Shaw was sent to prison for 26 weeks. His daughter, Kathryn, was at Burnley Crown Court to see her wheelchair-bound father led away to the cells and said afterwards she did not think he had been put behind bars for long enough.
Miss Shaw (31) said she thought the sentence was “disgusting” for what her father had done and added she thought her brother should have been locked up as well.
Miss Shaw said she never wants contact with her father again and told how she found out about his sordid behaviour last October, while he was staying at her home in Scotland.
The hearing had been told how the father and son had alleged they did not get sexual arousal from the obscene pictures, but a judge dismissed their claims and said there was no other reason to watch them. Nor, she told them, did she accept the images had been found accidentally.
Judge Heather Lloyd added she found it very worrying David Shaw said he had been sent them electronically through an Internet chat forum contact.
The defendants both live in Cobden Street, where, the court was told, David Shaw had a computer in the lounge, where he slept and ate, and his son essentially lived in his bedroom and had his own computer there. Police found the porn when they raided the house under the Protection of Children Act, in April last year. Neither defendant had any previous convictions.
David Shaw admitted two charges of possessing extreme pornography, five of making an indecent photo of a child and four of possessing an indecent photo of a child. He was put on the sex offenders’ register for seven years, given a sexual offences prevention order and banned from working with children indefinitely.
Robert Shaw admitted seven allegations of making an indecent photo of a child. He received a two-year community order with supervision and must attend the Internet sex offenders’ treatment programme. He was put on the sex offenders’ register for five years and was banned from working with children.
Sentencing, Judge Lloyd told the father and son the images she had had to view were “bluntly, revolting,”. “The courts have to do what they can to prevent such exploitation and deter people like you from viewing, from downloading, from storing such images and perpetrating the misery.”
