Appeal rejected over father's violent rapes and abuseUpdated Fri Jun 10, 2011 11:37am AEST
The Court of Criminal Appeal has unanimously rejected a father's plea to overturn his convictions for violently raping and assaulting his children.
The man, 45, whose identity cannot be revealed, was convicted by a jury of persistent sexual exploitation of his daughter, three counts of assault and three of gross indecency.
He inflicted horrific sexual and physical abuse on his daughter and two sons, including forcibly restraining and raping the girl.
The court heard he forced his sons to watch pornography from the age of 12 and subjected them to images of bestiality and necrophilia.
The man appealed against his convictions, arguing he should have been given separate trials for each of the charges.
The court dismissed his appeal. The man remains in custody and will be sentenced later.
