Is Tennessee a "redneck" place for moms and children? An Inquiry

In some of the coverage on dad CHRISTOPHER SAVOIE, it has been suggested that Tennesee is a good ol' boy place that doesn't treat mothers and children in an especially admirable fashion. Daddy BARRY THOMAS MYERS hauled out his 12-gauge shot gun over...bologna? The son he was fighting with (over "lunch meat") had fled the home by the time Daddy got out on the front porch and fired off that bad boy, so at least nobody got hurt. But then Daddy's on parole for a meth lab conviction, so I suppose we can't set our expectations too high, can we?
