Dad JEREMY ERICKSON has been sentenced to 90 years to life for the child abuse death of his 15-month-old son. The baby was in dad's "care" at the time of his murder.

Neb. man sentenced for death of young son

KIMBALL, Neb. (AP) - A 24-year-old western Nebraska man has been sentenced to 90 years to life in prison for the death of his 15-month-old son.

Jeremy Erickson was sentenced Wednesday in Kimball County District Court. A jury convicted him in August of child abuse resulting in death.

Emergency responders found Tristen Erickson unresponsive and not breathing after being called to a mobile home in Dix on Dec. 9. Tristen was flown to a hospital, but died two days later after he was taken off life support.

Autopsy results showed the boy's skull was fractured and he had spinal cord and brain injuries.

Authorities said the injuries were sustained while he was in his father's care.
