Dad and his drinking buddy bite 3-year-old daughter on the face to "teach the child a lesson" (Cohoctah Township, Michigan)
Dad JAMIE BARNES and his clueless drinking buddy (the buddy was stupid enough to show up in court with a .085 alcohol level) figured they'd teach Dad's 3-year-old daughter a lesson--by biting her in the face. Both have been convicted of 3rd degree child abuse. The buddy has just been sentenced; Dad is to be sentenced later this month.

Cohoctah Man Sentenced Again For Biting Child
October 23, 2009
10/23/09 - A Cohoctah Township man charged in a child abuse case that showed up for a recent court hearing under the influence of alcohol was sentenced Thursday. 37 year old Christopher Norton was charged with 3rd degree child abuse along with 27 year old Jamie Barnes after admitting they had bitten Barnes’ 3 year old daughter on the face, saying they were trying to “teach the child a lesson” as she was going through a biting phase. Norton, who is not the child’s father, ended up pleading no contest and Circuit Court Judge Michael Hatty sentenced him October 15th to two months in jail and three years of probation. However, he withdrew that after being informed by sheriff’s deputies that Norton has tested positive for alcohol. His blood alcohol level was at .085 percent, which is above the legal limit. At his re-sentencing, Hatty ordered Norton to serve the same sentence that he had originally imposed. Meanwhile, Barnes has also pleaded no contest in the case and will be sentenced October 29th.
