UNNAMED DAD has been arrested for child abuse after the grandmother observed red marks and bruising on the 6-year-old daughter's face. It seems that Daddy was drunk at the time he hit the child. No mention of mom. Single dad?

A 32-year-old Maryville man was arrested on a charge of child abuse after his 6-year-old daughter accused him of hitting her.
According to a Blount County Sheriff's Office report, the man — who is not being named to protect the identity of his minor child — hit the girl three times.
The alleged abuse was reported by the girl's grandmother, who saw red marks and bruising on the 6-year-old's face. When she asked the child what had happened to her, the girl responded: "Daddy hit me three times," the report said.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they reported seeing the injuries on the girl, describing them as looking like "fingertips and handprints" on her face. When they asked the girl what had happened, she told the deputies that "daddy was drunk and hit me," the report said.
The girl's father was arrested on a charge of child abuse and neglect and was being held at the Blount County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
