Murder-suicides orphan children (Londonderry, New Hampshire)
TWO recent cases mentioned here of dads killing the moms in murder-suicides and leaving the traumatized children as motherless orphans--and that's just in tiny New Hampshire: One involving dad BINH VERNET and another involving an UNNAMED DAD (who is actually JONATHAN CHARBONNEAU--skip a few posts down to read about him). Who says murder-suicides are "rare"?

Murder-suicides orphan children in Londonderry, Manchester
LONDONDERRY – A child’s 911 call lead police to a mother’s murder Wednesday in Londonderry, and police later found her husband dead of suicide in Massachusetts, state police and the attorney general’s office report.
Police were called to 4 Fiddler’s Ridge Road at about 9:10 p.m. They found Suzanne Vernet, 46, unconscious and severely injured. Vernet later succumbed to her injuries Thursday in a Boston hospital, police report.
“Based on information received from the children at the scene, the police began looking for Suzanne’s husband, Binh Vernet , 48,” police reported. “The two children who were present during the incident were not physically injured during the incident.”
Police found Binh Vernet’s car Thursday evening in Rehoboth, Mass., Thursday evening, and later found his body in the area. The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be performing autopsies on Suzanne and Binh Vernet to determine the precise causes of death.
Meanwhile, the Union Leader reports that a man shot his wife and her father, and then killed himself in Manchester Thursday. The woman had taken out a restraining order against her husband, and had gained full temporary custody of their child, the paper reports.
