Dad tries to kill mom; child tries to stop him from stabbing her (Lakewood, Ohio)
Dad EMMETT CLEMENTSON IV was "estranged" from his wife, so it appears that gave him permission--at least in his own mind--to hit her with a baseball bat and stab her. Oh, and the kids? They were all at home at the time, and one was trying to stop him when the police arrived. Yea, that's really showing your love for your kids, isn't it, Dad? Guess he'll have 16 years to think about it.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A 32-year-old Lakewood man was sentenced last week to 16 1/2 years in prison for attempted murder.
Emmett Clementson IV admitted he hit his estranged wife with a baseball bat and stabbed her several times while her four children were home in their beds.
Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mussman said Clementson broke into his wife's home in the 1200 block of Hathaway Avenue on July 10. He confronted a man in the house and struck him with the bat, breaking a rib.
The man ran out of the house, then Clementson struck his wife and stabbed her. Neighbors heard screaming and called police.
The children woke up, and one was trying to stop his father from stabbing his mother when officers arrived.
