Dad accused of headbutting 3-month-old son, causing skull fracture (Lakeland, Florida)

The usual.  The slimeball dad was "frustrated" after a disagreement with Mom. So naturally, he headbutted a 3-month-old infant, causing a skull fracture.

Daddy is identified as JEREMY MILLER.

LAKELAND -- A 22-year-old Lakeland father is facing child abuse charges after allegedly becoming frustrated and headbutting his 3-month-old son, according to Lakeland Police.

LPD spokesperson Ann Dinges said Jeremy Miller was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse after the Florida Department of Children and Families became suspicious of the father's explanation for his son's injuries after he was flown to Tampa General Hospital on Wednesday. DCF contacted the police department around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives said Miller gave different stories about how his son's head was injured, including the boy's head hitting a door and later hitting a corner of a baby-changing table. "He said after the second incident, the baby began shaking uncontrollably so he called for an ambulance," Dinges said in a statement. "Ultimately, Jeremy advised he was rocking the infant when he became frustrated and hit his head on the infant’s head. During the interviews, he told the detectives that he was frustrated over a disagreement with his wife."

According to Dinges, the boy sustained a skull fracture, brain bleeding and a "non-accidental injury." She said the injuries are significant, but the boy is "doing well" Thursday.

Miller was arrested and charged with child abuse. The boy has not been identified.
