Dad charged with aggravated battery againt newborn daughter (Wichita, Kansas)

Dad ANTHONY BROADMAX has been charged with aggravated battery against his newborn daughter, just 5 weeks of age. Notice that once again, we have one of those cases where the baby's mother has been erased from the picture. Why? I see there is mention of the "father's room." Does this mean the parents did not share a bedroom? Was this a custody/visitation situation?

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

(WICHITA, Kan.) — A Wichita man is charged with aggravated battery Friday. Anthony Broadnax is accused of abusing his 5-week-old daughter.

Broadnax has preliminary hearing scheduled for August 18.

A newborn girl is in fair condition with head injuries and her father has been arrested for child abuse, Wichita Police said.

The five week-old baby suffered a skull fracture and bleeding to the brain, Police Lt. Doug Nolte said.

The child was brought to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition Tuesday night and hospital staff called police. The baby has since been upgraded to fair condition, a Wesley spokeswoman said.
