CALDWELL — Eric Lee Dominguez pleaded guilty to three counts of felony injury to a child and two sentencing enhancements for violently shaking and seriously injuring his infant twin sons earlier this year, Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor said Monday. In exchange for the guilty pleas, prosecutors dropped one sentencing enhancement and agreed to run the 34-year-old’s sentence concurrent with a pending charge of probation violation.
The felony charge carries up to 10 years in prison and the sentencing enhancement carries up to 20 additional years.
Dominguez will be sentenced Oct. 12. He is being held in the Canyon County jail on a $500,000 bond. Dominguez was charged June 8 after both of the twins, now about 5 months old, were admitted to hospitals.
