Dad pleads guilty to assault on 7-week-old son (Salem, Massachusetts)

DARIO FINKEL: Yet another daddy who got "frustrated" with the crying of his 7-week-old son. And this is the kind of volatile idiot we trusted to drive a bus for a day care center???

Man Pleads Guilty In Baby Wipe Assault On Infant
Dad Sentenced To 2 1/2 Years In Prison

SALEM, Mass. -- A Salem father accused of stuffing a baby wipe in his infant son's mouth because the child would not stop crying has been sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison.

Dario Finkel was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in Salem Superior Court to charges including child endangerment and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He also got four years of probation.

Authorities say the 27-year-old Finkel, who once drove a bus for a day care center, stuffed the baby wipe in the 7 ½ week old boy's mouth in April after becoming frustrated with the infant's crying. Prosecutors said he later threw the child on the floor, and then at the boy's mother.

Finkel's lawyer asked for a shorter term in jail, saying his client was remorseful.
