"Frustrated" dad gets 9 years for nearly killing 4-month-old son for crying (York, South Carolina)
Dad MICHAEL CARDUFF has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for shaking his 4-month-old son. The baby nearly died as a result, and still faces a lifetime of severe disabilities. Yet another case where a daddy was "frustrated" by a crying infant and shook him. And then lied about it to the authorities, saying he "dropped" him. Daddy's attorney says he sorry. Whatever. Where was Mom while Daddy was facing all this "frustration"? Working? What? No mention of the mother at all.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

8 years for teen dad in shaking of infant son
The Associated Press
YORK, S.C. -- A teenage father in Rock Hill has been sentenced to eight years in prison for nearly shaking his infant son to death.
Michael Carduff was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to inflicting great bodily injury on a child and illegal conduct toward a child.
Prosecutors say Carduff's son faces lengthy rehabilitation for brain injuries suffered when he was shaken last January.
Carduff originally denied any part in his Owen's injuries but then said he had dropped his then-four-month-old son. Carduff later admitted to investigators he had gotten frustrated with his crying son and shaken him.
Doctors say Owen may never walk, talk or eat on his own. Defense attorney Melissa Inzerillo said Carduff is sorry and wants to do whatever is best for his son.
