Family living in fear of killer dad who is now eligible for parole (Boston, Massachusetts)

Dad RICHARD SEYMOUR pleaded guilty to bludgeoning his son to death in 1986. His now adult daughter says this vicious animal raped her and physically abused her as a child, too. And yet it's possible this guy may go free on parole. It's disgusting that his family still has to live in fear of the scumbag.

BOSTON -- A Massachusetts family says it is living in fear, terrified that the man they call a monster could soon be set free.

They say the convicted killer murdered his own son and now his man's daughter is fighting to keep him locked up.

Paula Todisco her life growing up with her father was full of violence. She said Richard Seymour raped her as a girl, physically and verbally abused her and her mother, and bludgeoned her 18-year-old brother Patrick to death with a propane tank.

Seymour pleaded guilty to murder in 1986 and is now serving life behind bars, but he is up for parole next month. Todisco now fears for her entire family.

She said the family faces this terror every five years when Seymour comes up for parole.

His family desperately fights to keep him behind bars but this year the tension is higher after the murder of Woburn police officer John McGuire and the controversial parole board decision that freed the robber who killed him ... a man who had been sentenced to three consecutive life terms.

"I hope they really think hard about who they're gonna put back in this society. This is someone who murdered a child, kidnapped his daughter, stabbed his wife," Todisco said. "So I really do hope that people do write in to the parole board and express their concerns. If he were to get out, they'd be making another mistake."
