Dad arrested for neglect after toddlers wandered from home (Georgetown, South Carolina)

Yet another one of the growing number of "caretaking" fathers arrested for basic child neglect. This particular one involves dad SHANNON TISDALE. And yet another case where the mother has been erased out of the story entirely.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – A Georgetown Co. man has been arrested in connection to a case of two toddlers who wandered away from their home in the Williams Hill area Dec. 31.

Deputy Russell Goodale, spokesman for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, said Shannon Tisdale has been charged with unlawful neglect of a child.

On Dec. 31, deputies responded to a home along Gene Dr. in the Williams Hill area in response to two missing toddlers. The boys, ages two and three-years-old, had been missing from their home for 45 minutes.

Several agencies, including the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, actively searched for more than two hours before the boys were finally located around two miles from their home.

Upon further investigation, a warrant was then issued Jan. 4 for Tisdale, who is the father of the boys.

Tisdale then turned himself into authorities Friday morning.

Both children were found unharmed.
