Dad accused of injuring 3-month-old son (Weatherford, Texas)
Dad TYLER WAYNE WHITAKER is charged with felony child abuse. The baby suffered brain injuries, apparently as a result of being violently shaken. Seems the baby's twin brother also shows signs of child abuse (e.g. multiple rib and leg fractures).

Man accused of injuring 3-month-old son
WEATHERFORD -- A 20-year-old Weatherford man was in the Parker County Jail on Wednesday, accused of injuring one of his 3-month-old twin sons, according to a police news release. Tyler Wayne Whitaker faces a charge of injury to a child with serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony. His bail was set at $75,000. Whitaker was arrested Sunday after Weatherford police were notified by staff at Cook Children's Medical Center that an infant had been admitted to the hospital with suspicious injuries. The baby remains hospitalized with brain injuries thought to be the result of having been shaken. Medical personnel told officers that the child's injures were not consistent with the story the boy's parents gave them. The father later acknowledged to investigators that he injured his twin sons, the news release stated. The twin brother has multiple rib and leg fractures that appear to be the result of past abuse, the release stated. -- Deanna Boyd
