Dad kills mom, other man, kidnaps 5-year-old; dad later shot and killed by police (Anaheim, California)

Dad ANTHONY CASTILLO is "suspected" of killing his ex-girlfriend, the mother of their 5-year-old son, and another man. He then kidnapped the little boy. As usual, "together time" was not the motive in this, as Daddy abandoned the child at a relative's house. Dad was later shot and killed by police. And the press has the nerve to call this a "custody dispute"? This is an orgy of pure violence and control. Paternal "feeling" had nothing to do with it.

ANAHEIM -- Police in Anaheim have fatally shot a man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend and another man and kidnapping his son Wednesday morning.

Officers located Anthony Castillo, 31, at about 6 p.m. Wednesday outside an apartment complex at Juno Avenue and Loara Street, armed with a handgun, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.

Officers ordered Castillo to drop the weapon and when he did not comply, they opened fire. It's not clear whether Castillo fired any shots.

Castillo was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police recovered a handgun at the scene.

Hours earlier, police say, Castillo dropped of his five-year-old son at a grandparent's home in Orange County after fleeing with him following a double homicide.

An amber alert was issued for Ometal "Omie" Castillo shortly after his mother and a man were shot to death inside an apartment in the 200 block of South Rio Vista Street, Martinez said.

Officers were called to the Mariposa Apartments around 5:45 a.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots and screaming.

Inside the apartment, police found a woman shot to death, Martinez said. She was identified as 31-year-old Heather Courtney Sorensen.

A man, identified as Stephen Rene Serna, 35, was found shot in the head. It's believed Serna was Sorensen's boyfriend. He later died at a local hospital, Martinez said.

Police say Sorensen lived inside the apartment with the child and a female roommate.

Castillo did not live at the apartment, police said.

A motive in the shooting is under investigation, however, Martinez said it's possible it stemmed from a custody dispute.
