Dad arrested for killing 18-month-old son, apparently on visitation time (Cleveland, Ohio)

Dad ANTHONY JOHNSON SR. has been arrested for killing his 18-month-old son. Note that Dad and Mom lived at separate residences, and that the child was staying with Dad at the time of the "incident." Also note that Dad refused to let the mother see the child when she came by to pick up the child, who was already dead from severe head injuries. So was this visitation arrangement at the mother's discretion or court ordered? Maybe it's time we started asking these questions. Or might that embarass a local judge?

Police arrested a 35-year-old Cleveland man this evening whom they suspect killed his 18-month-old infant earlier today.

Police Lt. Thomas Stacho said the Anthony Johnson Jr. was taken to Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights around 5:30 p.m. by his father, Anthony Johnson Sr. Stacho said the child suffered severe head trauma and other injuries.

Stacho said earlier in the day, the boy's mother went to pick up the child from his dad's home in 12000 block of Miles Avenue, but the father refused to let her see the child.

A short time later, the dad took Anthony, who was already deceased, to the hospital. Johnson was arrested on suspicion of murder. The incident is under investigation.
