Custodial dad in court on torture, child cruelty charges (San Jacinto, California)
Custodial dad TIMOTHY MORRIS is charged with horribly abusing/torturing his 14-year-old son. The boy was not only severely physically abused, but malnourished from lack of food. The stepmonster has been charged as well. Not a word on why Dad had custody, or what happened to the boy's mother. Is she alive? Did the California Courts grant the dad custody? What?

SAN JACINTO - A San Jacinto man is due in court tomorrow on torture and child cruelty charges involving his 14-year-old son, who was allegedly forced to go without food and was physically and emotionally abused.
Timothy Morris, 37, was arrested last weekend, along with his 32-year-old wife, Brenda Morris, who is the boy's stepmother.
Deputies were called Sunday to investigate suspected child abuse at a home in the 1200 block of Avenida Floribunda, sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Mike said.
Investigators determined that the boy had been severely abused, physically and emotionally, over a significant period of time, the sergeant said.
The teen was malnourished and had allegedly been denied food, according to Mike, who said the boy also had signs of numerous injuries inflicted with various objects.
The teen was taken out of the home and treated for his injuries, then placed in protective custody, the sergeant said.
His father and stepmother were both booked on suspicion of torture, willful injury to a child and inflicting corporal punishment on a child and jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Brenda Morris is set for arraignment on Monday, according to sheriff's jail records.
