Dad, son charged with assaulting each other (Plain Dealing, Louisiana)
Sons need their daddies because...then you have somebody you can get drunk with? That's just for starters. Then you can beat each other up after you're thoroughly zonked! Oh, and somebody you can "accidently" shoot yourself with! Yup, daddy PAUL ALAN POWERS is quite the role model here.

Father and son charged with assaulting each other

A Plain Dealing father and son face assault charges after admitting to authorities they fought each other while intoxicated.
Paul Alan Powers, 47, and Paul Alan Rogers, 20, both of the 500 block of Miller’s Bluff, were arrested on Tuesday after deputies responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound at Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City, said Ed Baswell, spokesman for Bossier sheriff.
Rogers told authorities he accidentally shot himself during an altercation with his father. During the investigation both men admitted that they struck each other and were intoxicated at the time. They both said the shooting was accidental and self-inflicted, Baswell said.
Powers and Rogers are being held in the Bossier Parish jail on one count each of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace – drunk. Powers’ bond is set at $11,000, and Rogers is being held on a $14,000 bond., Baswell said.
