Custodial dad of missing girl accused of "acting crazy" and hitting man (Putnam County, Florida)

I posted on this case yesterday. Custodial dad RONALD CUMMINGS, whose daughter "disappeared" six months ago, is looking more and more like the abuser many of us always suspected he was. Apparently his burglary and assault charges have to do with Cummings "acting crazy" and hitting his wife's brother in the head and neck. The mother-in-law says that until that night, she had never known Cummings to be violent. Uh huh. Are we starting to connect the dots on this guy yet?

Ronald Cummings, 25, is facing a charge of burglary with assault or battery, jail records show.
Maj. Gary Bowling with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Cummings' arrest on burglary "has nothing to do" with the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.

Officers reported Ronald Cummings was arrested after a deputy was called out regarding a report he hit the woman's brother after her relatives arrived to get her. She had contacted her family earlier saying she no longer wanted to be at the residence with her husband and that she wanted them to pick her up from the Welaka home, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
Hank Croslin Jr. told a deputy Cummings "was acting crazy" and began "swinging at him," hitting him in the head and neck several times. The two fought, then Croslin said he got his vehicle to try and drive away when Cummings got in on the passenger's side and started hitting him again, deputies reported.

Ronald Cummings, when asked by officers about what happened, said he did not wish to speak and that it was his right to remain silent.

But Ronald Cummings later said he wanted to sign an affidavit against Hank Croslin Jr., his wife's brother, and his wife's father. In that statement, he said his wife's relatives showed up at his grandmother's house after they were told not to come there by his wife, Misty Cummings. He reported the men got out of a vehicle and approached in an "aggressive" manner. When he asked the younger man to get out of his face, Hank Croslin Jr. came closer he said and, thinking he was going to get hit, Ronald Cummings said he pushed the other man. Then Hank Croslin Jr. hit him while Hank Croslin Sr., his wife's father, held him.

The mother of Ronald Cummings' wife told an officer "she was not sure what Ronald was on but he was not in the right state of mind," according to information about the arrest provided by the Sheriff's Office. Until that night, she also said she never knew her son-in-law to be violent.
Hank Croslin Sr. told a deputy there were three physical altercations before they left the home and called 911.

Misty Cummings is the woman who was home alone with Haleigh Cummings and the child's younger brother when the girl apparently vanished overnight in early February, according to reports in the case.

Ronald Cummings later married his girlfriend, then known as Misty Croslin, in the weeks following his 5-year-old daughter's disappearance.

Haleigh's birthday, marking more than six months since her disappearance, is later this month.
Ronald Cummings was booked into the Putnam County jail shortly after 1 a.m.

Bond for Ronald Cummings was set at $12,504, according to the Sheriff's Office Web site. He was released from the jail shortly after 1 p.m.

The charging affidavits against Hank Croslin Jr. and Hank Croslin Sr. will be forwarded by deputies to prosecutors, according to a report from the Sheriff's Office.
